The Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition is a global advocacy initiative launched at COP21 in 2015 to advance carbon pricing and build high-level support across the public and private sectors. CPLC advanced its mission through three work streams: i) convening high-level dialogues; ii) generating a strong evidence base through flagship reports and tools; and iii) engaging the private sector in country-level carbon pricing efforts. Its landmark report by the High-Level Commission on Carbon Prices has provided critical guidance on the carbon price levels needed to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement.
