Deepblu app servers going offlineWhen the Deepblu app was launched, it was acclaimed as being for the ‘next generation of divers’, but now, ten years on, its creators have announced they are shutting down its servers due to ‘lack of paid users’. There are many dive apps out there, but when Deepblu launched, it was described as a ‘community designed for divers to share dive logs and a passion for the ocean’. The company even released a dive computer – the Cosmiq+ – as another means of promoting and pushing the app. Now a message on the home page of the deepblu website states ‘thank you very much for your trust and support for the past ten years. With every new year, new users joining our community, we have more and more load on our servers.
