Jay Pearson: Five Black Faculty Members Who Are Taking on New Assignments

Cedric Merlin Powell, the Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs Professor of Law at the University of Louisville, will be the inaugural Earl C. and Anna H. Broady Visiting Endowed Chair at Howard University School of Law for 2022-23. She holds a master’s degree in political science from Georgia Southern University and a Ph.D. in political science from Howard University in Washington D.C. He earned a master of public health degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.
