FEAVER is Professor of Political Science and Public Policy at Duke University and the author of Thanks for Your Service: The Causes and Consequences of Public Confidence in the U.S. Military. From 2005 to 2007, he served as Special Adviser for Strategic Planning and Institutional Reform on the staff of the National Security Council.
