The steepest decline was in intra-company transfer visas which dropped 72% to 13,700 until 31 March this year. There were 14,016 grants of the new Skilled Worker – Health and Care workers visa, which accounted for 18% of the skilled work-related visas. Of those granted a seasonal worker visa in the year ending March 2021, 85% were Ukrainian nationals. Although the fall in work visas was expected because of the pandemic, there were some surprises in the figures for immigration specialists. About 3,600 were granted with 30% under the skilled worker category.
