The BBC found similar results in its own research, saying 51% of all AI answers to questions about news had significant issues of some form, and 13% of quotes sourced from BBC articles didn't actually exist. Reddit also blocked every other search engine from indexing its content, which it said was due to some engines being "unable or unwilling to make enforceable promises regarding their use of Reddit content, including their use for AI."
