INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, Minn. — The nation’s largest agribusiness cooperative has announced it intends to return $120 million in cash patronage and equity distributions to its owners in 2026.
Cash returns are paid out to owners based on their business with CHS, while equity redemption cashes in outstanding stock cooperative members held.
ADVERTISEMENT“As cooperative owners, we build strength by working together,” said Dan Schurr, chair of the CHS board of directors.
Based on business done with CHS in 2025, the board of directors elected to return $30 million in cash patronage and $90 million through equity redemptions to CHS owners.
When the planned distributions are complete, CHS will have returned nearly $2.6 billion to owners over the past five years.
