Thomas “Tom” Mitchell, 67, of Lanesboro, went home to be reunited with his first love on Friday, September 19, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and life long friends after his battle with cancer. Tom was born July 1, 1958, in Rochester, Minn., to Richard and Ella (Dobberstein) Mitchell. Tom milked dairy cows for 30 years then moved on to working off the farm after his wife passed in 2012. Tom then met Jill (Marten) of Wabasha in 2016 and married July 5, 2025. Tom was proceeded in death by his wife Dawn, his parents Richard and Ella, his brother Allen, along with many other family members that he is now reunited with.
