The Kennett Fire Department responded to a residential fire on the 300 block of Varner Street on Saturday, Sept. 20. When crews arrived, the home was fully involved with fire. Five people were found outside the residence and received medical treatment at the scene. All five occupants were transported to out-of-state hospitals in serious condition. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Kennett Fire Department in coordination with the Missouri Fire Marshal's Office.
