Agius invited five people to speak at his panel discussion entitled “Il-Malti Ħaj” – Maltese is alive. Participants include renowned Maltese novelist Trevor Żahra and the first official Maltese EP interpreter Daniela Scerri as well as media personalities Marvic Camilleri, Jeffrey Antonio and Kate Browka. Maltese MEP Peter Agius is hosting a discussion about the vitality of the Maltese language across the island-nation. Agius explained that a lot of people grow resentment toward expats living in Malta because many do not speak Maltese.
