Funeral services for Ila Inman will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 22, 2025, at the Elm and Murrow Church of Christ in Waynoka, with Bill David Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Waynoka Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka. The viewing will be held in Alva at Marshall Funeral Home on Saturday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 1:00-6:00 p.m.
Ila Orpha, daughter of Raymond Newton and Olive Marguerite (Schlarb) Harmon, was born September 25, 1926, on the homestead south of Bouse Junction, and she passed away September 18, 2025, at Alva, at the age of 98 years, 11 months, and 24 days.
Ila was raised with her sisters on the family homestead south of Bouse Junction. On July 14, 1943, she was united in marriage to Delfred Inman at Alva. To this union four children were born: Darral, Judy, Raymond, and Tim. They made their home in Waynoka for several years where they raised their family before moving to Madill. They later returned to a farm they purchased east of Bouse Junction.
She was a member of the Church of Christ. Ila worked at the Fairview Fellowship Home for 20-plus years. She moved to Alva in 2017 where she has lived until her passing. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, working
puzzles, and spoiling her grandchildren. Ila also loved watching baseball and golf.
Besides her parents, Raymond and Olive, she was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Delfred Inman; her stepfather, Roy Haynes; her son, Darral Lee Inman; a son-in-law, Ron Patterson; one grandson, Keith Inman; and three sisters, Eva Wheeler, Juanita Camp, and Caroline Bouse.
Ila is survived by her sons, Raymond Inman and wife, Pam, of Dacoma, and Tim Inman and wife, Sharon, of Cherokee; one daughter, Judy Barnett and husband, Darral, of Cherokee; one daughter-in-law, Donna Inman of Edmond; fifteen grandchildren, Stacie Wrobbel and husband, Derek, Krista Blaser and husband, Kyle, Kelli Schenk and husband, Ryan, Shawna James and husband, Jerry, Brandon Barnett and wife, Jonni, Rodney Barnett and wife, Miranda, Rod Inman, Ricky Inman and wife, Beddy, Robby Inman and wife, Allison, Scott Inman and wife, Brandy, Sabrina Watson and husband, Dallas, Mendee Dice and husband, Austin, Jarrod Inman and wife, Sammi, Travis Small and wife, Melissa, and Justin Small and wife, Miranda; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
