At the recent Paris Olympics, American runner Yared Nuguse finished third in the men’s 1500 meters. Yared Nuguse ran a 4:06 mile as a high school senior. This was an outstanding time for a high school track athlete, but he didn’t rank in the top 15 among his high school peers that year.
