Test BedI broke out the tested and true competitive bolt-action setup to check out both HSM 6.5mm Creedmoor loads. Well, “legal” in some competitions at least, because I can’t help but run it with a Specwar 7.62 suppressor. I was particularly curious about the velocities of the two loads, wanting to see how the Low Recoil offering managed that feat. I used a Garmin Xero Doppler radar chronograph on the bench to keep an eye on the speeds while I tested for accuracy. The device and its companion smartphone app track every shot and do all the requisite math like averages of shot strings, extreme spread and standard deviation.
