An additional £1 million in funding, announced by Health Secretary Neil Gray, will expand the LTA Youth Schools programme across Scotland. The initiative is backed by a partnership between the LTA, LTA Tennis Foundation, Tennis Scotland, sportscotland and the Scottish Government. "The refurbished courts in Whitecrook Park have been busy since they reopened, with schools, community groups, families and young people getting out to play together. "Who knows – maybe the next Wimbledon champion will start out right here in West Dunbartonshire." This latest funding builds on previous investment in tennis facilities, including the refurbishment of the Whitecrook Park tennis courts in May 2023 through the LTA’s Parks Tennis Rejuvenation Fund.
