Councillor Sophie Traynor, who represents Clydebank Central, hosted the event on September 16 to promote the work of Heart Start Scotland and raise awareness of CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use. The event invited Parkhall residents and businesses to take part in hands-on training delivered by volunteers from the Save A Life For Scotland campaign. The two-hour session in Clydebank covered essential first aid procedures including CPR, using an AED, and responding to choking and bleeding. It follows the recent success of the Community Council getting a defibrillator installed at the Parkhall shop back in March. Angela Clark, chair of the Parkhall TRA, said: "After the training I feel more confident about giving First Aid and using a defibrillator to help save lives."
