Clydebank is one of just 10 Scottish towns to have received the funding as part of the UK Labour Government's Plan for Neighbourhoods programme, which aims to regenerate towns across the UK. Douglas McAllister MP has encouraged people in Clydebank to participate in an online survey and contribute to the planning process for how to spend the money. “That is why we are inviting everyone to complete a survey to share their vision for Clydebank." The £1.5 billion Plan for Neighbourhoods programme is a UK-wide government initiative which will see investment in 75 towns across the UK. Residents have until Friday, September 26 to fill in the online form and share their opinions about how the money should be spent.
