From November 10, waste collection will move to an alternating three-week schedule in a bid to promote more recycling. Households will have recyclable waste collected twice in each three-week period, with general waste uplifted once. A survey of bin samples from the local authority found that 70 per cent of items placed in general waste bins could have been recycled if placed in the correct bin. West Dunbartonshire Council have published a questions and answers page on their website, which can be found HERE. Cllr Martin Rooney, West Dunbartonshire Council leader.
