To mark the occasion and support the local community, the RRT partnered with other local charities and community groups, including Women’s Aid Armagh Down, Simon Community Newry, and Northern Ireland Housing Executive, and served 200 hot burger meals and refreshments to the public, inviting them to learn more about the support available in their local community. The 2nd – 8th December was also Homelessness Awareness Week, and partner organisations set up pop-up stands to share information about their work helping people access housing, with the meals and refreshments provided by the RRT encouraging passersby to get involved and learn more about their work and support services available.
