The construction project is expected to remove their temporary stoplights at the intersection of highways 67 and 72 next week, according to MoDOT Area Engineer Corbin Carlton, ending over a month of delayed commutes and slow business for the gas stations nearby.
Gas stations are typically abuzz with customers all summer long, but with the roads with traffic in June, the BMW Express and the new Love’s have had a tougher year.
MoDOT Southeast Area Engineer Corbin Carlton said he is sympathetic to businesses and people affected by longer projects.
“MoDOT shares in everyone’s relief that construction work at Mo.
We live and share in the communities we serve and want the best for them.”Update: Democrat New has just been informed by Corbin Carlton that the bridge construction will wrap up next Tuesday, Aug. 4.
