Charges have been dropped against a Goldsboro, North Carolina woman named Tammie Hedges who was arrested for sheltering animals during Hurricane Florence. Hedges was charged with practicing veterinary medicine without a valid license, for the act of taking in dozens of animals that had been abandoned during Hurricane Florence. Hedges shared her side of the story by claiming that she saw a need to help the poor animals out, and she had gathered a group of people to do something about the matter.
