The two women retraced their steps with the help of Cave Rescue's duty controller to Nick Pot from where they were driven back to Horton-in-Ribblesdale. A Cave Rescue Organisation spokesperson said: "As they started to make their own way out of the worst of the wind three team members set off in CRO 3, one of our team Land Rovers, to meet them near to Nick Pot. "On arrival at Nick Pot the team found the walkers were there waiting and okay. They were then returned to their vehicle in Horton."
