British Wool is marking 75 years of supporting the sheep farming industry. Visitors will be given a behind-the-scenes look at its grading and sorting operations and learn about the many uses of British wool. Special guests will include Mr Grant, judge of The Great British Sewing Bee and a well-known advocate for sustainable British textiles. Andrew Hogley, chief executive of British Wool, said: “British wool isn’t just a legacy fibre, it’s a material for the future, and is gaining new relevance in a world increasingly concerned with environmental impact. The event will celebrate the organisation’s role in backing rural communities and promoting sustainable British wool for more than seven decades.
