The Magpie Arc’s Indoor Festival of Folk will take place at Victoria Hall on Saturday, October 18, and promises a full day of music from some of the UK’s finest folk artists. The festival is curated by folk/rock band The Magpie Arc and first launched in 2022 at Cecil Sharp House in London, the spiritual home of British folk music. Due to growing demand from audiences outside London, organisers now plan to expand the festival to three locations each year—London, the North, and the South West with Settle being chosen as the first northern venue. The Magpie Arc are described as a "UK Folk/Rock Supergroup with Led Zeppelin vibes," by BBC Radio 2’s Mark Radcliffe. The Magpie Arc focuses on new material but also performs reimagined covers and traditional songs.
