In a design and access statement with the planning application, agents for the nursery school state that the proposals aim to to 'adapt and enhance an existing facility'. The conversion of the garage will 'directly support the nursery's educational mission by offering 'flexible learning areas' while additional parking will reduce the potential of on-street congestion'. It states: "The project reinforces the commitment to high-quality local provision that benefits both current users and the broader Carleton community."
