The draft Yorkshire Dales Local Plan is about to move into its examination in public stage which will be carried out by a Government planning inspector. Threshfield has been identified in the draft local plan as having three preferred housing sites. Details about the hearings, which will take place at the national park headquarters in Bainbridge, will be publicised by the national park once the examination timetable has been prepared. In addition to Threshfield, housing sites have been identified in Craven at Airton (5); Bolton Abbey (6); Grassington, (two sites 25 and 21); Horton-in-Ribblesdale (11), and at Long Preston, (two sites 12 and 10).
