Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue went to the aid of the 62 year old woman who had fallen on a path above Scar House on Wednesday morning. The woman had been given a tarpaulin to shelter from the heavy rain as she waited for the team to arrive. A spokesperson for UWFRA said: "Fortunately, we were able to drive a team Landrover up the track to Scar House and park close to the casualty. "The lady was assessed by a team medic before being given pain relief and their leg splinted. With the injury stabilised the casualty was driven back to their car at Buckden from where they were able to make their own way to hospital.
