ALEXANDRIA, Ontario – According to Ontario’s Ministry of Health, one case of COVID-19 has been detected in Alexandria.
The case was identified at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital in North Glengarry Township where the woman presented to the emergency department on Thursday, March 12.
“The hospital took all necessary precautions and followed standard operating procedures, including infection control, testing and assessment.
Following testing, the patient was discharged home where she remains in self-isolation,” read an EOHU press release.
This is the first COVID-19 case in Eastern Ontario.
