ROCHESTER — Rochester Catholic Schools were in a “precautionary secure mode” following a "concerning phone call" made to at least two of its schools on Thursday, Sept. 4. ADVERTISEMENTRochester Catholic Schools President Tina Monosmith in a statement said that "at no point were any of our students or staff in danger." Jean Valere, speaking to media, said the Catholic school system's main office received the first call, communicating a bomb threat. This was the second time in eight days that Rochester Catholic Schools went into a "secure mode." Following the Aug. 27 mass shooting that killed two children at Annunciation Catholic School and Church in Minneapolis, Rochester Catholic locked its schools and canceled all after-school activities.
