A deputy who arrived at Byron High School minutes after the video was posted didn’t find Lewison.
Olmsted County sheriff’s officials had asked Lewison’s probation officer with the Minnesota Department of Corrections to place Lewison in custody.
He was later taken into custody by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and West Concord Police Department, according to an updated news release from the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office.
ADVERTISEMENTThe Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office said it will “refer charges related to this investigation” to the Olmsted County Attorney’s Office on Friday, Sept. 19.
“We don’t believe he is any direct threat, really, to even those people he listed in this video,” Torgerson said.
