Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune chaired a meeting on Monday to evaluate the current state of the Algerian Space Agency, plan its future direction, and achieve the country’s 2040 space vision. The decisions of the meeting will see the Algerian Space Agency equipped with advanced and cutting-edge space assets to leverage critical space technologies, nurture indigenous space capacity, and facilitate the employment of personnel from specialised institutions (mathematics and artificial intelligence). The meeting gathered key government officials and top military personnel, including General Said Chengriha, to draw a development plan for Algeria’s ambitious space aspirations.
