I can't remember if I had been reading a manifesto or why I thought of this, but I was like, man, what if we did a whole class on analyzing and reading manifestos, primarily though not only technology manifestos? It's kind of extraordinary to go back to the Facebook manifesto, which now is what, more than five years old, and look at some of the language in it and think about kind of what we've learned about Facebook's actual effect on society versus what Mark Zuckerberg put down in his 5,500 word manifesto.
