Titled Exposure to the Russian Internet Research Agency foreign influence campaign on Twitter in the 2016 US election and its relationship to attitudes and voting behavior, the paper matches Twitter data with survey data to study the impact of the IRA's tweets. So, our conclusion is that it seems, based on all the descriptive evidence I gave you before– that this was highly concentrated, that it was a small fraction of the information to which people were exposed to and that it was overwhelmingly among a highly partisan Republicans who were seeing this anyway– it seems to be that if the goal of the Russians was to use this Twitter foreign influence account to try to decrease support for Clinton or to try to increase people's political polarization, it seems unlikely that the direct effect…
