So I focus mostly on generative AI systems instead of foundation models or transformer based systems, mostly because I was one person trying to give insight into or release landscape that can be extrapolated to other types of systems, like foundation models that aren't explicitly generative. I think one of the things that your report points out well is that not only do AI systems, these generative AI systems, that large language models rely on hoovering up a massive amount of data in order to train the models, but they also create incentives for companies to continue to hoover up as much information as possible in order to continue to develop more sophisticated AI.
