There's a whole typology that we develop, thinking across the realm of kind of more voluntary, informal practices that different organizations, different policy networks are doing, to the kind of more formalized, complicated, bureaucratic things that might be happening within a single government or within a kind of collection of governments, like the EU, more institutionalized things like the AI Act. And the kinds of regulation you go towards are much more the kind of regulation we saw in the AI Act from the EU, the proposal which treats just AI as a product, doesn't really engage with its role in reshaping societies, doesn't really engage with giving individuals or organizations new rights, and doesn't really engage with the supply chain very much.
