Part of it was that facial recognition technology had come that far because I think generally people thought that facial recognition technology was really flawed, that it didn't work that well, that it was biased, and so it was pretty shocking to be in that moment. In Europe, all of the privacy regulators also in Canada and Australia said, We're launching investigations into this company, and they all found that what Clearview AI did was illegal that the company needed to get their citizens consent to put them in this, big database that now has 30 billion faces, a few of the regulators issued fines which Clearview at this point is it's fighting those rulings, it's not paid any of the fines But it effectively pushed Clearview AI entirely out of Europe.
