We discussed the recent US Supreme Court decision to overturn the Chevron doctrine and its implications for privacy legislation in the United States, the fierce battle over privacy laws in the US, and potential conflicts between Europe's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the new AI Act. So the risk is that lots of people coming in new with some view of regulating AI without recognizing that data protection already regulates even without kind of a national privacy law in the us certainly with privacy laws around the world and with the dozen plus states that have privacy laws now states like Colorado and others that actually have AI laws, but we've actually got a lot of AI regulation, we've got laws about discrimination, and you got to start with that.
