I can understand why folks would want to get on board, but one thing I found myself thinking, reading your book in particular is that this idea of AI diverting people away from what should be their focus is that what's going on in Washington right now when it comes to ai is it is AI helping divert people away from what should be the focus of political leaders? We have agency in how AI is built, what we use it for, and more importantly, not just like the two of us in Princeton or the few of us in DC and policy who are thinking about AI on a day to day, but we feel as if a large number of people around the world, most people perhaps have some agency in how they use AI and what shape AI takes into the future.
