Cristiana looked at Instagram's recommendation algorithm and said, okay, they're prioritizing content based on user engagement, but the algorithm has no idea which engagement is healthy enjoyment and which engagement is obsessive. It sounds like this algorithm is too simple, like it isn't able to differentiate between what people actually want and what they can't peel their eyes from.
