I'd always found myself drawn to talking about science with people who aren't scientists and communicating science to the public, talking about science to the public, helping people understand what science is actually like even when they're not scientists, and I see what I do now as being part of the scientific enterprise or part of the project of science, and I mean broadly speaking, but I also think that science is part of the broader human enterprise.
