Dr. Colleen Wynn, associate professor and director of the master’s in applied sociology program, received the 2025 John F. Schnabel Distinguished Contributions to Teaching Award at this year’s North Central Sociological Association (NCSA) annual meeting. Through his leadership, the NCSA’s teaching program was expanded as the Association created more teaching sessions to help educators teach social work. The John F. Schnabel Distinguished Contributions to Teaching Award was created to recognize an individual, department, program, or institution that shares innovative curriculum design and contributes to the teaching aspect of NCSA.
