Seabrook - Terry Stevens Martin, son of Carrole and Beulah Martin, brother to David and Winthrop Martin, passed away into the presence of Jesus on July 27, 2025, surrounded by family and the peace of God. Though he spent his final years away from Newburyport, Massachusetts, his heart and legacy remained deeply rooted in the community that he called home. Terry's early years were profoundly influenced by the time he spent at the family camp on Sandy Point Beach. He cherished this season of life and would often relive it as he reflected on it sharing memories with his family. After college, he began a long and respected career in banking, initially with the First & Ocean National Bank in Newburyport, and ending his career at the Newburyport Bank. He was a trusted advisor and advocate for countless small business owners, taking great pride in helping others bring their visions to life and strengthen the local economy. Terry found his greatest joy in spending time with his wife who he affectionally called lady Di. He especially enjoyed summer boat rides to Crane Beach, walking, biking, talking about Jesus through emails to his family and friends, and organizing Disney vacations. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who always worked to make family experiences meaningful and memorable, especially the Christmas traditions that the family still carry on today. He is survived by his wife, Diane Martin; his son, Craig Martin; his daughter, Sherry Jackman and her husband George, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and counting. Terry will be remembered for his generosity, leadership, and the positive impact he had on those around him. A celebration of Terry's life will be held at 2:00 PM on September 13th at the Byfield Parish Church, 132 Jackman Street, Georgetown, MA 01833.
