Oak Park - Lucy Ellis Riddell of Oak Park, IL, beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025 at the age of 81. Lucy joins her sister, Mary, in eternal peace. Lucy was born to Grahame and Dorothy Riddell in Monmouth, IL on October 9, 1943. She is survived by her brother, Rus, her daughter, Eliza, her sons, Sam (Amy) and Josh (Kathleen), and her grandchildren, Theo, Bridget, Sofia, Emma, Julia, Caroline, and Elizabeth. Lucy will be laid to rest in a private ceremony in Kirkwood, Illinois, alongside her parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. In keeping with Lucy's great love of animals, it is requested that those who wish to express sympathy consider making a donation to Western Illinois Animal Rescue (https://www.wiarrescue.com/support) in lieu of sending flowers. An online memorial for family and friends will be held for Lucy on November 2nd, 2025, at 11AM CST.
