The Mexico-based food company announced the recovery plan this week, citing a combined investment of €157 million—€134 million for the new Valencia facility and €23 million for upgrades at La Bureba.
Production at the Torrente site was permanently halted following what the company described as “irreparable damage” caused by flooding.
According to the announcement, the new infrastructure will restore full production capacity in Spain by 2027.
Sigma said it is working with local authorities to advance the projects.
Sigma operates in 17 countries, including several across Europe.
