Brazil beef exports to rise 12% despite US tariff Exporters eye growth in Asia, Africa as talks with US stallBrazilian beef exporters are expected to increase sales volumes by 12% this year, Roberto Perosa, head of Brazil's beef lobby Abiec, told a press conference on Tuesday.
In the first half of 2025, the United States was the second largest destination for Brazilian beef exports behind China.
Brazil shipped 181,477 tons to the United States in the period, equivalent to 12.3% of the country's total exports, according to Abiec data.
Last year, Brazil sold 2.89 million tons of beef to around 150 countries worth $12.9 billion.
This year, Abiec expects a 14% rise in the value of Brazilian beef exports.
