The Troup softball team needed a region win on Tuesday, and the team got just that with a back-and-forth 11-5 victory over Trinity Christian. The Troup lead would be short-lived with the Lions leveling the game in the bottom of the fifth. Damron hit an RBI single to send the game to the bottom of the sixth inning with Troup leading 9-5. Sheniyah Philpot hit an RBI triple and Kaylee Cardwell hit a sacrifice fly to give Troup an 11-5 lead.
