Trenton Plates—The World Takes! On Wednesday, Sept. 24, inside CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton, Cross Community Inc., a faith-based city organization, and Rise Against Hunger, a nonprofit that fights hunger, hope to expand efforts in eliminating bare cupboards and empty stomachs. “Our event, Trenton Plates, The World Takes, is an example of what happens when a community unites around a shared vision,” Jasmine Ross, executive director of Cross Community, Inc. explained. The Cross Community, Inc. outreach extends beyond hunger, offering support through various initiatives that cultivate self-sufficiency, spirituality, and sustainability. Volunteers will work three-hour shifts as the food event runs from sun-up (7 a.m.) to past sundown (8 p.m.).
