It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bruno on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at the age of 84 after a year long battle with cancer. Surrounded by Family, Bruno passed peacefully at his home in Guelph. Bruno was the beloved husband of Bernardina (nee DeFaveri) for 56 years. He was the loving father of Roberto (Lynn), Steven (Kathleen) and David (Erin). Bruno was the very proud Nonno of Maja, Talija, Sasha, Jenna, Mark and Ted whom he thought the world of. He was the dear brother of the late Maria, the late Ernesto (Dina), Severino (Maria), and Angelo (Luigina). Bruno is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he loved spending time with. Bruno was born in Caselle Di Altivole, Italy, arriving in Guelph at the age 19 where he later married and raised his three sons. His strong work ethic provided a wonderful life for his family. Bruno took great joy in gardening and helping raise his grandchildren, particularly enjoying feeding the ducks together as they walked the trail by his home. He also loved traveling back home to Italy to visit his family, friends and countryside. Bruno was a Husband, Father, Nonno and Friend. Bruno was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. We will think of him every time we take out the playing cards for a round of 13 card Rumino. Bruno's parting message is to love first and enjoy life to the fullest. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin Street North, Guelph, where the family received their friends on Friday, March 24, 2023. A Funeral Mass took place at the Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate Church on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment and reception followed.
