October 8, 1942 - April 17, 2023Passed away at home on April 17, 2023, with his wife Debbie, his daughter Audra and his caring PSW Diane. Don grew up in Guelph and was born to parents William and Norma Meagher. Loving husband to Deborah (nee Kentner). Father to Lynda (deceased), Michael, and Audra (James Finoro). Adored Grandfather to Shayne and Nathan Finoro, Sean and Megan Meagher, and Keegan Head. Brother to Doreen Elkerton (late husband Bill), Marie Curtis (late husband Bill), Brian (Donna) Meagher and Ken (Marg) Meagher. Will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Don worked as a Millwright at the University of Waterloo, he tried retirement and didn't like it, so he worked at Fastforms in Guelph until he retired again. He enjoyed many pastimes including gardening, hunting, and fishing, but his true love was working with wood. He spent many hours in his workshop turning bowls on the lathe he built himself. He was a man of many talents and could build and fix anything. He loved his family dearly and was a devoted husband to Debbie for almost 46 years, a loving father to Lynda, Michael, and Audra. The family would like to thank Bishop Matthew Ustrzycki, Father Vernon Boyd, Dr. Will Ruddock, the doctors and nurses at Guelph General Hospital, the Bayshore Palliative Care Program, and the whole team of nurses and PSW's that helped them get through this difficult time.
