It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jake Kuiken. He went to be with his Lord and Saviour on June 23, 2023 in his 89th year. He was born in Tzummarum, Friesland (the Netherlands) on February 22, 1935 to Reinder Kuiken and Anna Kuiken. (nee Posthumus). Jake will be missed by his loving partner Lucia Haefner, children Ron Kuiken (Liz Burns), Janet Harris, Dannie Kuiken, and Barb Vos (Steve). Predeceased by his first wife Jennie Fretz (nee Hoekstra). Loving grandfather of Daine Kuiken-Rogers. (Heather) Wade Kuiken-Rogers (Brenna), Matthew Vos, Elaine Stevens (Mike), Bryan Vos (Tiffany), Derek Vos (Zoe), Jacob Vos (Amber), Jennifer Harris and John Harris. Great-grandfather of Carter and Huxley Kuiken-Rogers, and Frankie and Georgie and Theo Vos, and Aubrey and Isla Stevens. He will be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends. Cremation will take place. Visitation has taken place Thursday, June 29th at the Acton Bethel Christian Reformed Church. A Celebration of Jake's Life was held in the same place.
