Roy passed away peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital in the evening of June 15, 2023, at the age of 90. Beloved husband of the late Gayle for 65 years. Loving father of Janice (Len Armstrong) and Kevin Olmstead. Dear grampa to Alicia Poole (Chris) and Kerry Holm (Ralph), great-grampa to Nicholas, Isobel, Cameron, and Ethan. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the emergency room and 3rd floor medical teams at the Pembroke Regional Hospital for their kindness, excellent care, and compas-sion. We also wish to thank the wonderful staff at Caressant Care in Cobden, where he was well looked after. Dad had a quick wit, great sense of humour, and loved the banter with the staff. Following Roy's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held at Thompsonville Cemetery.
